BPBD DKI Imbau Warga Waspada Cuaca Ekstrem Sepekan ke Depan

BPBD Urges Residents to Anticipate Extreme Weather

The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Handling (BPBD) Agency appealed to the residents to increase awareness of extreme weather in Jakarta on December 19-26, 2025.

"Kesiapsiagaan menjadi kunci utama,"

Based on the early warning from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), it is predicted that there will be light to moderate rain with the potential to cause hydrometeorological impacts, such as puddles and flooding in a number of areas.

Head of Jakarta BPBD, Isnawa Adji, asked residents to prepare umbrellas or raincoats, as well as disaster preparedness bags as a precautionary measure.

"Preparedness is the main key in facing potential disasters due to extreme weather," he said, Saturday (12/20).

He also appealed to the residents to regularly monitor water levels via the page bpbd.jakarta.go.id/waterlevel, and update flood condition information via RT-based pantaubanjir.jakarta.go.id.

If residents encounter potential flooding, they can report it through the JAKI app. Additionally, the BPBD provides a Flood Preparedness Guidebook, which can be downloaded at tiny.cc/bukusakusiagabanjir.

"In emergency situations that require immediate assistance, the public is asked to contact the Jakarta Siaga Call Center 112," he stated.
